Misconceptions
It’s tough to build innovation capability. It’s even tougher when you’re labouring under common misconceptions that stop you building the kind of capability you need.
AmpLab examines a variety of perceptions surrounding innovation and offers a whole new perspective. We often believe that ideas are the “raw material” of innovation, in fact organisations develop ideas and run ideation workshops on this very assumption. Is this a good idea?
At least we can be sure roadmaps are essential to successful long and short term planning and they’ll take us where we want to go. But where’s the real focus when creating roadmaps? One thing is for certain though, the competencies we’ve spent years developing are our best asset moving into the future. Aren’t they?
Over a series of micro-videos and articles we dig deeper into these topics as well as others, such as the real outcomes of risk taking, the reality of building a culture of innovation and what’s the best way to open new thinking spaces.
Welcome to AmpLab’s series on Misconceptions.
